Welcome to World Wide Med

May 5, 2009

Welcome to the World Wide Med blog, the place for information about Internal Medicine News’s World Wide Med column.

I’m Heidi Splete, writer of the World Wide Med column, and we welcome your comments and suggestions on our Forum and we continue to develop our online presence.

The May column will be available soon in online and in print at World Wide Med and Internal Medicine News. Read about how what started as a favor to a friend became an organized effort to help an underserved community in Uganda.

Going Interactive

April 18, 2009

I’ve been logging occasional “progress notes” at WorldWideMed.org since July 2007, and it’s time to start posting updates here, where readers have the option to respond. In addition to starting this blog, recent efforts to make World Wide Med more visible and useful have included the launch of the World Wide Med Forum and the creation of a World Wide Med Twitter account. Here’s to greater interactivity!
